Richard Nixon Library & Museum

Pacific Marine Mammal Center

The Pacific Marine Mammal Center was the first of it’s kind in California and is now one of seven total rehabilitation centers that span the California coast. The Laguna Beach Center was founded prior to the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 which shows the passion of their mission and the importance of ocean stewardship. The center focuses on research and education while rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing marine mammals.

USS Midway

The USS Midway served from 1945-1992, the longest time an American aircraft carrier has been in operation.  Permanently docked at San Diego’s Navy Pier, visitors can experience the life of over 200,000 sailors of the Midway as they fought for America’s freedom and values.  The USS Midway Museum has over 60 exhibits and 29 restored aircraft to explore. Santa Monica Pier

The Getty Center

California Science Center

The California Science Center promotes learning about science through exhibits and a Science Center School. Opened in 1998, the center includes four major exhibit areas including: World of Life probes the commonalities of the living world, Creative World examines the ways people employ technology, and Ecosystems, features nearly 400 species of live plants and animals. Each exhibit has a Discovery Room for younger children who can learn with hands-on activities. A must see is the Space Shuttle Endeavour which came to came to the center in 2012. Visitors can see this amazing space shuttle up close and learn about the science behind it.
